The Cause Which Rots The World

Friend,
Yes, I too used to be outspoken about such things, but I’ve turned my attention from the rot –to what I consider the cause of the rot.

You say, “Now more than ever Christians need to be salt and light.”  Amen!  (Matt. 5:13-16!)  The negligence of that is exactly what I believe to be the cause.  –The cause of the rot.  Because salt keeps things from rotting, and light snuffs out darkness, but because the salt and light are not going out into the streets of the world, the rot and the darkness continue.  Or if they do go out, they do so with wrong motives; not to build Christ’s kingdom, but their own –their church, their ministry, a name for themselves, or even just a better looking resume.  (I realize there are the few who are giving their lives in genuine, humble service.  I’m not speaking of them, but of the majority.)  And WHY are they not going out?  Because students do what they see their teachers doing, and these false teachers we have within “Christianity” are “talking, but have no power.”  (See 1 Cor. 4:20)  They are negative role models instead of righteous ones.  Yes, it is precisely the false teachers –those “shepherds who feed only themselves” (Jude 1:12), those “false apostles” (2 Cor. 11:13), and those “false prophets, ferocious wolves in sheep’s clothing” (see Matt. 7:15), who are doing incredible damage to the Kingdom of God.

So sadly, the rot intensifies and the darkness grows thicker…  for unredeemed people in a fallen, condemned world, gripped by the Kingdom of Darkness, remain in bondage to their sin (their filth), stinking with a putrid spiritual smell as they grope about blindly… for they are lost.  (Not “totally depraved” and “completely unable” to make a right choice when it’s offered; but yes, indeed “lost”.)  “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”  (2 Cor. 4:4)  So what to do?  What to do?  Well, I say what to do…  It’s this:  CHRISTIANS need to get a grip on their OWN lives!  The world is laughing at us, not because we are different, but for the exact opposite:  –Because we SAY we are different, when we are NOT!  There’s no light shining the answer from most so-called “Christians”, and from others it is so dim, that most of the dark world still can’t see their way out, OR hear correctly, due to our garbled words of hypocrisy.

What touts itself as “Christianity” is for the most part a total fraud.  It seems everyone knows this except the deceived “elect”.  The whole silly system –go listen to and rely on the hired hand to tell you what God is saying (because of course, he’s closer to God than you and must have the correct “revelation” of God’s will and interpretation of His Word)… and don’t forget there’s a fee (the tithe)… and don’t worry if you’re weak and sin often, just ask forgiveness… and yes, go, send, or support others in “going into all the world to preach the gospel” –but please –only after your weekly support of the mortgage for our church building –that God never did tell us to build… but, no matter that it’s not about where one worships (John 4:21), or that each one of us that are born again are already the temple (1 Cor. 6:19 / 2 Cor. 6:16 / Eph. 2:21)…………  We still like this system…

Sorry.  I better quit with that.  But I think you may have a clue now about something.  That I believe a whole slew of things inside the “Christian” culture are opposite of the Lord’s way…

Well, here’s one more example.  These two friends of mine… I met them separately.  Then they met and became friends.  Both also sometimes evangelized.  Okay.  The woman smoked.  This annoyed the man immensely… though I silently thought it’d be wise for him to remain non-judgmental considering the idolatry spoken of in Phil. 3:19 –“their god is their stomach”… which he could’ve likely been accused of…  Anyway, one day he was again complaining to me about it.  Though myself never having smoked, I finally said, “Yes, that is a smelly habit, and is not good for the body, but actually, I think that what one puts in one’s mind is much worse.  Like don’t you sometimes put movies in your mind?”   He said, “Well, yea.”  I asked him how often.  He said he watches at least one movie a night.  I dropped the issue… and so did he.

So… what do you think Jesus thinks?  Is He more impressed with an evangelist that spends at least two hours a night feeding his fleshly heart than he is with a woman who blackens her lungs?

The modern church has many who look down on smokers, but unashamedly wallow nightly in filth from the T.V.  Here’s Jesus’ answer in Mark 7:18-23:  “Don’t you see that nothing [I believe He means nothing “physical”] that enters a man from the outside can make him ‘unclean’?  For it doesn’t go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of the body.’  (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods ‘clean’.)  He went on:  ‘What comes out of a man is what makes him ‘unclean’.  For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.  All these evils come from inside and make a man ‘unclean’.”

So is it cigarettes that are encouraging these wicked things in one’s heart and mind… or… is it perchance what comes through that screen?

I believe the answer is obvious.  Yet “Christians” don’t care.  Because they LOVE the fleshly pleasure they get from their huge screens of this idol.  And they apparently cannot give up this idol if their lives depended on it!  –Or if their marriages did… or the futures of their children… or their own eternities… –let alone the eternities of those they should be out spreading the Gospel to…

No, God has not changed.  If someone claims that His Holy Spirit lives inside them, yet they continue to put worldly images and philosophies into their minds and hearts, God calls that unclean.  And He does not dwell with uncleanness, no matter how much the modern harlot church insists that He does.

God says in Lev. 15:31, “You must keep the Israelites separate from things that make them unclean, so they will not die in their uncleanness for defiling My dwelling place, which is among them.”  We are certainly released from the Old written law and regulations, so I’m not advocating that; but to be unclean in heart and mind is STILL a cause for separation from God; for He is holy, and He requires that we, who are now His dwelling place, “be holy also.”  (See 1 Peter 1:15)

Well, as far as your discussion in your last email about falling short of righteousness…  I have written extensively debunking what is termed “Unconditional Eternal Security”.  Yes, it’s an on-going debate, but one that I put on par with a debate with atheists or cult belief systems.  For I believe UES is a false gospel as I believe it has, and is, causing many to end up in eternal separation from God.  –Because they relied on a false security as they continued to deliberately sin, adding to the rot of the rest of the church and even teaching a lowering of morality to all of society in general.

Again, God does not change.  He says in Isa. 59:2, “Your iniquities have separated you from your God.”  Sin will always separate us from God.  Heb. 10:26 tells us clearly that deliberate sin is not covered by Christ’s sacrifice made on the cross.  And as Ps. 19:13 says, “Keep Your servant also from willful sins…  Then will I be blameless…”

Well, we can save the rest of this discussion for another time.

Peace, courage, and strength to you,
Rachel
