Decide Now Who You’ll Bow To

Friends,
It is one thing to work a secular job under a boss or system that is perverse or corrupt, and it is quite another thing to join in with illegal, unethical, or unbiblical actions. The first is that which can be tolerated, provided we are not forced to participate. Examples: If we work for a company stocking shelves with food, but we know they also sell games that delve into occult practices. Or if we work under a male principal who we know is having an affair with a married woman –and everyone already knows about it, including the woman’s husband. 1 Cor. 5:9,10 addresses this when Paul says, “I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people –not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother [in Christ, and does these things]…”

However, to join in with perversion or corruption or anything antichrist is different. The Bible strictly condemns it. Remarkably though, many so-called “Christians” lack discernment in this area and are calling other “Christians” to join them in partnering with systems and organizations that are anti-biblical.

There is a difference between living under the heathen king Nebuchadnezzar, and in worshipping the image of gold that he erected. (Dan. 3:1-6) The first was acceptable to (even planned by) the LORD; the second was not acceptable to the LORD. And all the Jews knew this based on God’s First Commandment, “You shall have no other gods besides Me.” (Ex. 20:3) This is why the three Hebrew young men said, “…we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” (Dan. 3:18)

So, what about us? Where do we fit in? I am trying to warn that we need to think about this ahead of time –BEFORE we are asked to bow. And though right now there are few who are telling us to bow to a statue of gold, rock, or wood, there are many who are, nonetheless, trying to coerce us to bow to gods other than Christ –who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Rev. 19:13,16)– God in bodily form (Col. 2:9), and the only One to be served and worshipped. These other gods, these false gods, which are being promoted are gods of ideologies, of pleasure, of ego. And we find their promotion even within the church.

No, we don’t see people on their knees worshipping these gods, but they are worshipping them through acts of service. Friends, the true Christian life is not about works. We all know that. Yes, works will show, but they must be Spirit-led works. Otherwise, it is no different than the cults who demand certain deeds to either receive or prove salvation. Jesus does command obedience –which He equates with love (John 14:15 & 1 John 2:3,4), but it is loving obedience to NONE except Him, the Word, and that which is done through His Spirit. Otherwise, it is simply a service done to another god. And any god other than the True God is demonic or demonically inspired.

So when you are invited to participate in an act of service that is done in the name of Christ or God, yet it is a blending of His name with gods of antichrist ideologies, or with worldly pleasures, or in order to boost egos or pocketbooks, turn away from such. For we are not to peddle the Word of God for profit (2 Cor. 2:17) –ANY kind of profit, including monetarily, or for a man’s or a church’s reputation.

The world’s antichrist ideologies have decided to aggressively, but deceptively, rein in the services of church-goers by a new tactic. By appealing to the church’s desire to show Christ’s love to a hurting world, the world’s government is now offering money to “faith-based” organizations by accessing Christians’ man-power and time to do acts of service for THEM! And sadly, “Christians” are falling for the bait. Even when Obama comes right out and says that these groups, once they receive tax-payer funds, cannot promote one’s religion.

This is tragic. Yes, we are to help one another physically, but the body is of low priority compared to the eternal soul. (Luke 12:4) “What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?” (Luke 9:25) “In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be My disciple.” (Luke 14:33) How do these demands from Jesus relate to what the government is enticing churches to promote within their communities? For as Jesus told the crowds who were looking for another hand-out, “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.” (John 6:27) Yes, for HE is the true bread (v. 35), the living water (4:14), the only door of deliverance and abundant life. (10:9,10)

Luring church masses into partnering with the world’s systems only spells disaster for the furtherance of the Gospel. And not only are parishioners’ energies and church funds waxed thin, but partnering with the world will only incur God’s wrath! As 2 Chron. 19:2 says, “Should you help the wicked and make alliances with those who hate the LORD? Because of this, the wrath of the LORD is upon you.” And why would the church prefer to do the government’s work above God’s? Because God tells us to preach His Word. When His Word is preached, IT changes lives –more than any community efforts could ever do! Does the church not believe this? Or are they just too timid to help change lives the way God’s Word says to do it? –because it is too UN-politically correct?

Or, perhaps, is it about the desire to control others? History shows that that is a deep-seated lust of the unregenerate man. And is that not what Satan desires? –Control and worship? (Matt. 4:8,9) Why would anyone say that their faith-based group will hold others “accountable”? That is not the job of the church for those they bring “a cup of cold water to”! No person is to be spiritually accountable to any but the Holy Spirit! Otherwise they attempt to usurp His position and the guidance is a counterfeit. Besides, is this not providing the global world governance with exactly what it wants? –Files of information on where each person lives, what his values are, and details of his medical records and lifestyle? If someone doubts that this is truly what the government is trying to access through the gullible efforts of church people (in the name of “compassion”), then that person needs only to do some easy research from websites that give plenty of documentation.

God says in His Word to not trust in man (Isa. 2:22 & Jer. 9:4-6) and He pronounces a woe upon all who look to the world for help rather than Him. (Isa. 31:1,2) For “the Egyptians [the world’s systems] are men and not God; their horses are flesh and not spirit. When the LORD stretches out His hand, he who helps will stumble, he who is helped will fall; both will perish together.” (v. 3)

Besides all this, what will a Christian do when, after having invested much time, effort, money, and relationship into a community organization, he is faced with a person desperately in need of Christ, or even prayer? Who will that Christian bow to? –To the world’s intolerance of speaking of the power of the name of Jesus… or to God’s Word? Because Jesus says in Mark 8:38, “If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

Are you going to say it’d be no big deal to just remain quiet when you see someone in need of Christ, because you think it best to obey the government? Okay. Suit yourself. But I bet you’d be one to then also say that the three Hebrew young men should’ve just bowed outwardly to the image. “No big deal. They didn’t have to mean it from the heart. It would have saved them from getting thrown into the furnace and it certainly would have also been a lot less divisive and uncooperative. And Jesus wants us to strive for unity, remember?”

…Yea, right.

True unity is never attained except under the banner of Truth. And only Jesus is the Truth. As He says in Luke 16:13, “No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Mammon [the world].”

So decide who you serve, who you bow to, who you worship. There’s only two choices. Fence-sitting is called “lukewarm”, and we already know that those types will be rejected by God (Rev. 3:16) along with those who automatically make themselves enemies of God by their friendship with the world. (James 4:4)

Make your decision now. Because if you love the world, the true Bride of Christ does not need you, receives no benefit from you, and we do not want your pollutants.

Sincerely,
with love,
Rachel
