Let’s Remember

Let’s remember that Jesus is our only door to true life… abundant life. No person, no fame, no self-improvement program, no drug, no high, no indulgence… –in other words, nothing– will ever truly satisfy. We know this deep down, but may all of us who name the name of Christ, keep that at the forefront of our minds –daily, hourly, and even every minute!

Let’s remember that everyone has a different gift and calling that is unique to them and not try to put others in OUR mold.

Let’s remember that we must be prayed up, (having spent time with the Lord), and are walking in the power of the Holy Spirit whenever we go out to minister or spread the Gospel. Because on our own, we are nothing, and cannot do anything of lasting benefit. As Jesus says, “Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me… [for] apart from Me you can do nothing… I chose you to go and bear fruit –fruit that will last.” (John 15:4,5,16)

Let’s especially remember then: The point of fruit-bearing is to bear fruit that endures –that fruit being: God’s work INSIDE us, as well as THROUGH us, and it being fruit that doesn’t fall away when the going gets tough or when the temptations come in like a flood. That’s why we must abide in Him daily. And the best way to do that is through meditating on that supernatural Word that has endured throughout the centuries… and by praying, praising, and giving Him thanks for all the blessings He has so far provided.

Let’s remember also to pray for others. Here’s a beautiful way to start: “I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit…” (Eph. 3:16) Hmmm… very, very nice… And coming from the heart and mouth of another clean vessel of His –certainly very powerful too!
