He, The Word, Comforts

Jesus says some very comforting words in John 14:1 –“Let not your hearts be troubled. You trust in God; trust also in Me.” And of course this one: “Trust the LORD completely. Don’t ever trust yourself.” (Prov. 3:5) Then verse 6 says, “In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success.” So “If the LORD is directing our steps, why try to understand everything that is happening along the way?” (Prov. 20:24)

May we all go to His supernatural Word… feed our spirits as we listen to HIS Spirit teach us, encourage us, give us the strength to keep proclaiming His truth –that marvelous Good News. May we meditate on His attributes, worship Him for His greatness, listen for His leading, and step out.

Next year at this time, who of us will be stronger than we are now? It will be those of us who allow God to use the trials, the persecutions, the sufferings –for our betterment. It will be those of us who hang tightly to His precious Word. It will be those of us who have sat at His feet, loving Him, abiding in Him and those words. As Job 23:10 says, “He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I WILL come forth as gold.”

Gold is pretty valuable, isn’t it?
