Ask The Questions, Learn The Truth

Truth… truth… truth… I just keep saying it. Truth is of utmost importance. However, it helps nothing unless we know it. And unless we apply it, once we know it. God’s Word is truth. But if you don’t believe that, then I still encourage you to seek truth. The truth about our existence… as in, “Are we spiritual beings? And if so, what does that mean in regards to a supposed eternal existence? And, if God is love, then He must also be just, and justice does demand a punishment. So will we truly stand before a Holy, Just God after we die, and if so, what will that totally just Judge decide about each one of us individually?”

These are questions we should be asking. And yes, belief is derived by faith. But it is not blind faith. So do the research. Or do you not have time for something of such “little importance” as your ETERNAL existence?

For those of us who do already believe that God’s Word is truth, let me encourage you to saturate your minds and spirits with it. We need the Holy Spirit’s power it brings so that we can defeat our adversary who loves to fire lies and confusion and temptations into our minds. We also need to be saturated with the Scriptures because of all the counterfeits being peddled within Christianity, and so that we might not get sucked into the deception and apostasy that is looming ever larger over us. To know God’s Word is to have the knowledge of God’s character, ways, and expectations of us. This is essential to knowing the way to be reconciled with a holy God.

Ps. 119:160 says, “All Your words are true; all Your righteous laws are eternal.” If this be true, then may we all be able to claim this one as well: “I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on Your laws.” (v. 30) Why? Because “By them Your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.” (Ps. 19:11)

And because we love Him. Like any devoted bride, cherished child, or faithful servant should.
