He Lacks No Strength

Has God made a promise to you? Then nothing will thwart it. (Ps. 33:11) Believe and trust. Rest and praise. Go about your business in assurance, confidence, and faithfulness. For as Jer. 33:14 tells us, “‘The days are coming,’ declares the LORD, ‘when I will fulfill the gracious promise I made to the house of…” Put your name in there.

And again God says, “Was My arm too short to ransom you? Do I lack the strength to rescue you?” (Isa. 50:2) The answer is, of course, “Absolutely not!” We know God is all powerful. He can command a raging storm to stop. He flung the galaxies into space with “the breath of His mouth.” (Ps. 33:6) He created the complex human eye, DNA, light, water, matter, the voice-box, frost, sleep, gravity… Should not people ponder these wonders? –“Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities –His eternal power and divine nature– have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” (Rom. 1:19,20) Yes, without excuse to not glorify Him as God and give Him thanks. (v. 21) Thanks, praise, and our faithful trust.

“The LORD answered Moses, ‘Is the LORD’s arm too short? You will now see whether or not what I say will come true for you.'” (Num. 11:23)

Yes, if He promised it, it will happen.
