Wait With Grateful Patience

Many are waiting on the Lord –for Him to reveal His will, His guidance in a certain area…

The waiting is hard, –I agree. Here’s something my mom gave me last year: “Be assured that if God waits longer than you wish, it is only to make the blessing all the more precious.” (Andrew Murray –that great man of God!) And: “The secret of patience is to do something else in the meantime.” GREAT advice!

So, in the meantime, we will proclaim the gospel; we will feed the poor –physically and spiritually; we will sing praises to His name! “Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. [Yessssssss!!!] Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always. Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced.” (Ps. 105:3-5)

“The LORD will fulfill His purpose for [YOU].” (Ps. 138:8)

So “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the… [enemy] and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. [THAT’S AN UNDERSTATEMENT ! ! ! ] With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” (2 Chron. 32:7,8) HE does it all! We need only to be available –to “not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today… The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Ex. 14:13,14) Yes, may we let HIM fight that enemy –the enemy of our souls –of our ministries, –of our branches bearing fruit… fruit that lasts for eternity.

Ex. 15:3 –“The LORD is a warrior; YHWH is His name.” What more do we need????!!!!

So, when our wretched Enemy comes in like a flood, raise The Banner! The cross! The testimony! The Word of God! The proclamation! Keep doing it! Do not faint. Do not become weary. There is a finish line… and it may be sooner than you think. God sees your faithfulness and will reward you! When we say, “I have labored to no purpose; I have spent my strength in vain and for nothing. Yet what is due me is in the LORD’s hand, and my reward is with my God.” (Isa. 49:4) Just think of HIS rewards! And oh, how God loves to lavish us with good gifts! He loves to pour it out! But we need to ask and keep asking! “C’mon, Dad! C’mon, Dad!” Many aren’t thanking Him when He DOES give! And it seems many are spending so much time complaining, that they can’t adjust their hearts to recognize all the tremendous things they already have to be grateful for! But we are! And we know God gives more to those that thank Him. (Ps. 50:23 & 69:30,31)

Well, may He lavish on you faith, comfort, peace, and tranquility… even in the midst of uncertainty. May He grant you endurance. May He give you a boost of spiritual strength and courage for whatever “jobs” the Lord, at the present time, has entrusted to you. All over the world, people are serving Him faithfully, covering their spot; and even in the menial tasks, we can do all as unto Him! –As we wait with grateful hearts, and faithful, patient expectation.

For we have a God who hears.

Be encouraged,
