Hold Hearts Gently

Friends,
So many need their hearts held… otherwise the heart gets hard… from trying to hold up under the confusion and pain alone… So let’s do our best to hold each other’s hearts… with tenderness… Look into the face of that one standing near you, working next to you, sitting on the bus across from you… Smile. Smile with love. Christ’s love. …Speak. Speak with love. Christ’s love. …Serve. Serve with love. Christ’s love. …Hold their heart, their hand, their face… with love. Christ’s love.

Have you heard the Christian song by Tenth Avenue North called “Hold My Heart”? The tune is so gentle, so comforting, the words so lovely. And remember when God ran? –Ran to the prodigal? “…filled with compassion for him; He ran to His son, threw His arms around him and kissed him.” (Luke 15:20) Hm–hmmm… When He sees us coming to Him in tears, in repentance, in loneliness, in fear, in rejection… feeling our hearts are breaking… He runs. Runs to us. Hugs us. Kisses us. Forgives us. Holds us. Strengthens us…

Yes,
We are dearly loved by Him.
Dearly, dearly loved…
So love others with His love…
Gently…
Rachel
